I wasn’t always the nutritionist with answers. For years, I did what so many women do — I pushed through symptoms, trusted “normal” labs, and wondered why my body felt so off.

Symptoms can feel confusing

Symptoms can show up in ways that are easy to dismiss — especially when your labs are called “normal.”

Maybe you’ve tried the clean eating, the supplements, the late-night Google searches, and the “just push through” approach.

But your body still doesn’t feel like yours.

You might notice:

🕒 Dragging yourself through work with nothing left at the end of the day.
🚫 Cancelling plans because you’re too tired, foggy, dizzy, or drained.
🍫 Cravings, hair shedding, brain fog, low mood, or feeling cold.
⚖️ Feeling frustrated that “healthy eating” hasn’t helped your energy, mood, digestion, or iron levels the way you hoped.

👉 If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. I’ve been there too.

I needed answers about why my iron, energy, and gut health were struggling — and what my body was actually trying to tell me.

When symptoms keep getting brushed aside, it affects more than your energy

It can affect your confidence, your relationships, your plans, and your ability to feel present in your own life.

You start wondering if this is just your new normal.

👉 That’s exactly where I was — until I realized I didn’t need to keep pushing through without context. I needed a clearer picture.

My story

Hospital IV treatment and home IV treatment with a PICC line during years of medical care for osteomyelitis following a jawbone infection.

For over twenty years, I dealt with:

🌀 Digestive distress
😴 Brain fog & fatigue
🧪 Low iron and low ferritin patterns
🔥 Chronic pain and inflammation
🤧 Food allergies and reactions
🍫 Sugar cravings

All while being told my labs were “normal.” Like many women, I learned how to push through and assume this was just my baseline.

One important piece of my story took 8 years to uncover: a jaw-bone infection, also known as osteomyelitis, that had been dismissed as teeth grinding.

When it was finally diagnosed, it explained a lot — and led to long-term antibiotic use that significantly disrupted my gut and overall resilience.

I share more about my journey with osteomyelitis here.

That experience taught me something crucial:
When important pieces are missed, the body keeps trying to compensate.

After my dad passed away in 2023, I reached a turning point. I wasn’t willing to keep managing symptoms without understanding why they were there. I wanted clarity.

Through functional nutrition and deeper testing, the bigger picture finally came into focus: gut imbalances, low ferritin patterns, iron transport challenges, nutrient absorption issues, chronic stress, and disrupted sleep.

Once I began supporting my body based on the full picture — not generic advice — I finally had more context. Things started to make sense, even though my body still needed ongoing support.

My story is not about becoming perfectly symptom-free. It’s about finally having answers, understanding my patterns, and learning how to support my body with more clarity, compassion, and confidence.

That journey is why I do this work today.

I don’t believe women need more willpower or stricter rules.
They need clarity, context, and support designed for their unique biology.

I wrote this for the woman who’s been holding it all together while quietly feeling alone:

Today

✨ I can eat a wider variety of foods with more confidence.
✨ I enjoy time with people without automatically worrying I’ll be the burden.
✨ I can actually relax with a book or movie without guilt that I should be more productive. Usually something cheesy from the 80s or 90s — because I still laugh too hard at that era.
✨ I feel calmer, more confident, and more worthy of caring for myself.
✨ My cravings and energy feel more steady. My digestion makes more sense. And I understand my body in a way I never did before.

Most importantly, I don’t feel like I have to live as small anymore. I have more confidence to step outside my comfort zone — and support other women as they learn to do the same.

Why I do this work

Trying to rebuild your energy and understand what your body is asking for can feel isolating.

Especially when you’re told everything looks “normal” but you don’t feel that way.

I know, because I’ve lived it.

That’s why today I work as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist in BC, helping women understand the patterns behind low iron, low ferritin, fatigue, and symptoms that don’t match their labs.

I use personalized nutrition, lab education, and functional testing when helpful to support absorption, build steadier energy, and help women move forward with more clarity and confidence.

My philosophy blends:

🔬 Science-informed tools to understand the full picture
💬 Warmth and relatability to make it feel safe and doable (Recovery should feel human — with room for laughter, foods you love, and zero judgment.)
💗 Compassion and the belief that every woman deserves to feel heard, supported, and more confident in her body

Women don’t need another diet, cleanse, or quick fix.
They need clarity, context, and support that actually fits their body and real life.

Why work with me

🔬 Clarity over confusion
I help you understand your labs, your symptoms, and your body — so your symptoms feel less dismissed, confusing, or random.

🎯 Deep specialization
I focus specifically on iron deficiency, low ferritin, and absorption issues — not a little bit of everything.

🧩 Whole-picture thinking
I look at iron, gut health, nutrient absorption, stress, sleep, and how the nervous system may be affecting how you feel — and help you see how they connect.

📊 Medical data, translated
I review your available labs and help you understand patterns that may be worth discussing with your doctor or naturopath.

🕰 Real-life plans
My recommendations fit busy schedules, stress, and real human routines.

🧠 Lived experience
I don’t just study iron deficiency and gut patterns — I’ve lived them, questioned them, and learned how much context matters.

🎓 Why this feels different
Before becoming a nutritionist, I spent 15 years as a teacher. I understand mental load, full days, and the pressure of showing up for others — which is why my approach is practical, compassionate, and built for real life.

Your simple plan

Here’s how we begin turning confusion into clarity:

🔍 Clarity – We review your symptoms, labs, history, digestion, stress, and nutrition patterns so you can better understand what may be contributing to how you feel.
🔄 Support – We build a personalized nutrition and lifestyle plan to support iron status, gut health, absorption, and steady energy in a way that fits your life.
🌟 Confidence – We strengthen realistic routines so you feel more informed, supported, and able to keep going without perfection.

The vision for you

Imagine feeling more steady, clear, and supported in your body.

Maybe that looks like:

✅ Waking up with more trust in your energy instead of bracing for the day.
✅ More consistent energy through the day with less fear of running on empty.
✅ Eating with more confidence instead of stress and second-guessing.
✅ Understanding your low iron signs and symptoms instead of feeling like everything is random.
Feeling more connected to your body because you finally have context.

👉 That’s the kind of support I want for you — not a quick fix, and not another set of rules.

Just a clearer path forward.

This is the kind of clarity I want to help you move toward:

Frequently Asked Questions: about working with a holistic nutritionist

Q: What does a holistic nutritionist do?

A holistic nutritionist looks at the full picture of your health, including food, digestion, symptoms, stress, sleep, lifestyle, nutrient patterns, and your personal health history.

Instead of only focusing on calories or generic meal plans, holistic nutrition support looks at how your body may be responding to your current routines, nutrition, digestion, and stress load.

In my practice, I support women with low iron, low ferritin, fatigue, brain fog, cravings, digestive symptoms, and “normal” labs that don’t match how they feel. My role is to help you understand possible patterns, support your body with realistic nutrition and lifestyle steps, and create a plan that fits your actual life.

A nutritionist may support clients with food choices, meal planning, and general nutrition education. A holistic nutritionist also looks at how food connects with the bigger picture, including digestion, stress, sleep, symptoms, nutrient status, lifestyle, and how different body systems may be influencing each other.

My background also includes functional nutrition training, which means I may look more closely at patterns in labs, digestion, nutrient absorption, gut health, and optional functional testing when helpful.

This does not replace medical care or diagnosis. It adds another layer of support by helping you understand what may be contributing to how you feel and what nutrition and lifestyle steps may support your body.

When looking for a qualified holistic nutritionist in Vancouver, Surrey, White Rock, or anywhere in BC, three important things to check are credentials, client reviews, and professional memberships.

Look for someone with nutrition education, relevant training, clear scope of practice, and experience supporting the concerns you’re dealing with. Client reviews or testimonials can also help you understand what it may feel like to work with them.

Professional membership is another helpful trust signal. I’m a Certified Holistic Nutritionist, Certified Functional Nutrition Practitioner, Human Intestinal Microbiome Specialist, and Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis Practitioner. I’m also a professional member of the Canadian Association of Holistic Nutrition Professionals.

For my clients, the added benefit is that my functional nutrition background allows us to look more closely at labs, symptoms, digestion, absorption, and optional at-home functional test kits when helpful.

Yes. I’m based in Surrey, BC, and I work virtually with clients in Vancouver, Metro Vancouver, across Canada, and in the U.S.
